Education Sector.

Taylor and Fraser has an established track record with many educational establishment such as primary and secondary schools as well as further education establishments. The company works with a number of leading Universities including Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, St Andrews, and the University of Highlands and Islands - UHI Millennium Institute.

Since 2003, Taylor and Fraser has had a measured term and a subsequent framework agreement with the University of Strathclyde to undertake "All Trades" projects. During the measured term the Taylor and Fraser construction division has undertaken in excess of £15m of refurbishment works at the John Anderson campus. Many of the projects involve a high proportion of mechanical and electrical services, as well as a complete range of trades associated with construction.

At Sabhal Mor Ostaig - the Gaelic College in Skye, a £1m extension has also been completed. Taylor and Fraser's involvement included design development, supply, installation and commissioning of mechanical and electrical works. Once again, the key to these types of remote projects is often in advanced planning and this is where Taylor and Fraser's off site plant and material stores uniquely allow the company to safely and effectively these projects across the sector.
